Hating men and MRAs does not add to Feminism
Hating Heterosexuals and Cisgendered people does not add to LGBT rights
Hating Religious believers does not add to AtheismHating people who are different to your beliefs in what supports should be doesn’t help your cause at all.
You cannot stamp out hate with hate.
Feminists don’t hate men. We hate sexists.
The LGBTQ+ community doesn’t hate straight and/or cis people. We hate homophobes and transphobes.
Atheists don’t hate theists. We hate assholes who use their religion to hurt others.
Saying that people who are focused on promoting social equality and affecting social change hate EVERYONE who isn’t part of their minority is stupid and a strawman argument.
Policing marginalized groups reaction to oppression with tone arguments like “don’t be so mean” isn’t helping. It’s hurting. It’s part of the oppression.
Also, oppressed people who hate their oppressors have no systematic power against those people. So if I am a woman who hates men, that might not be helpful to my cause, but it sure as hell isn’t going to do much damage to men.
The same is not true for the privileged hating the oppressed.
A man who hates women might kill or abuse a woman, or be in a position of power to restrict reproductive rights for people who can get pregnant. A woman who hates men might hurt some men’s feelings. See the difference?
