Correlation Between Laziness and Unhealthiness?

In accordance to your post about lazy people who don’t eat healthy foods. Cutting out preservatives and instead eating proteins, fruits, vegetables, and fresh water every day is the best way to stay healthy. People with low incomes can’t afford to buy organic food and a lot of these low income people live in food deserts where there is no fresh produce available and only convenience stores with processed foods and fatty snacks within reasonable walking or driving distances.

They aren’t lazy and it’s not the consumer’s fault. It’s the food industry. We need to focus our attention on why they are eating high levels of fat. We need to redesign our food industry so that everyone in this country can have affordable and easy access to fresh produce from local farmers. Not only will people be healthier, the local economy would be boosted by building food programs that will create jobs and can cater to people in food deserts.

Instead of blaming these people for eating bad and telling them what not to eat, we could teach people how to garden. Or help start and manage community gardens.

Processed foods are filled with high levels of fat that are addictive, especially in fast food chains. And why are fast food chains taking advantage of food deserts and low income families?

Fast Food franchises have addictive fat contents, inexpensive prices, and a business that forces its customers to receive food in a lazy manner (aka drive thru windows compared to gathering food from a garden), is taking advantage of people. These foods are biologically addictive and this is why it’s so hard to cut fast food out of your diet when you are used to eating it at least once a day. It and guarantees these unethical business will stay successful. These companies do not care about the well being of their customers.

In a nut shell, demand easy and affordable access to healthy food for everyone and help redesign the food industry! Ban fast food franchises from low income neighborhoods and demand that convenience stores, like Walgreens or gas stations, sell fresh produce and more healthy food options.

Yes! I feel like too many foodies forget that not everyone has access to these things, and “voting three times a day”...
