Hello!

I’m Alicia, the Unholy Feminist. I’m 20 years old and I’m a queer femme intersectional feminist, artist, activist, college student, Democrat, liberal, and lots of other things. You’ll notice that I’m very passionate and emotional about my beliefs. I call people out, I educate people (including myself), I critique the patriarchy/kyriarchy, and I do it all while being very, very sassy. Like hell I’m going to apologize for it, too, so don’t bring your tone-policing self ‘round here.

I’ve been dating my high school sweetheart, Mason, for over 5 years. We’re fairly long-distance, and as hard as that is, we make it work.

I’m an ENFJ, which suits me pretty well. Activism is a huge part of my life, and I firmly believe that feminism that excludes trans* women, women of color, or women with disabilities is worthless. I’m body-positive and completely pro-choice, pro-contraception, and pro sex education. I’m an admin and contributor to the University of Michigan Students for Choice tumblr. I fight against rape culture, victim blaming, and slut shaming - and I believe that those concepts are all extremely related.

I live in hipster town, USA (No, not Portland. Ann Arbor, Michigan, where we’re that much more intolerable.) and I’m a junior in the University of Michigan School of Art & Design. I’m interested in illustration and activist/feminist art, but I’m currently hoping to pursue a career in publication design. As of recently, I’m available for free-lance design or illustration work. Check out my art blog here, my etsy illustration shop here (mostly full of Doctor Who fanart, oops), and my vintage etsy shop, VOCAL. Right now, I’m working as Design Editor for the Michigan Daily's weekly magazine, The Statement. My portfolio is growing every day, as is my fear of graduating and becoming a starving artist. If you like what you see on my blog and want to help me crawl out from under the crushing weight of my student loans and general economic ruin, you can put some change in this broke feminist’s jar:
